Short Biography
Dr. Chengjiang Long is currently a Research Scientist at Meta Reality Labs (formerly Facebook Reality Labs) at the Burlingame CA office. Prior joining Meta (formerly Facebook, Inc.), he worked as a Principal Scientist/Tech Leader in JD Tech R&D Center at Silicon Valley (a part of JD.COM) from June 2020 to Dec 2021, and worked as a Computer Vision Researcher/Senior R&D Engineer at Kitware from February 2016 to April 2020. He also worked as an Adjunct Professor at University at Albany, SUNY from August 2018 to May 2020, and was an Adjunct Professor at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) from Jan 2018 to May 2018. He received the M.S. degree in Computer Science from
Wuhan University in 2011 and a B.S degree in Computer Science and Technology from Wuhan
University in 2009 under the supervision of Prof. Jianhui Zhao. He got his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Stevens Institute of Technology in 2015 under the supervision of
Prof. Gang Hua.
During his Ph.D. study, he worked at NEC Labs America and GE Global Research as a research intern in 2013 and 2015, respectively. To date, he has published over 80 papers including top journals such as ACM Transactions on Graphics (TOG), IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence (T-PAMI), International Journal of Computer Vision (IJCV), IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics (TVCG), IEEE Transactions on Image Processing (TIP) and IEEE Transactions on multimedia (T-MM), top international conferences such as ACM SIGGRAPH Conference and Exhibition in Asia (SIGGRAPH Asia), IEEE/CVF Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition (CVPR), International Conference on Computer Vision (ICCV), European Conference on Computer Vision (ECCV), AAAI Conference on Artificial Intelligence (AAAI) and ACM International Conference on Multimedia (ACM MM), and owns 1 patent. He serves as Area Chair for top-tier conferences like CVPR and Neural Information Processing Systems (NeurIPS), and as Senior Program Committee (SPC) member for the top-tier AAAI conference. He is also the reviewer for more than 20 top international journals and conferences. His research interests involve various areas of Computer Vision, Computer Graphics, Multimedia, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence. He is a member of IEEE and AAAI.
